Our IVG Planet+ hoses have been on the market for almost two years: Hot Gullfoss, Abr Aspen, Abr Sölden and
Abr Keystone. Hoses with sustainable advantages designed for
different products and applications: concrete pumps, spraying of abrasive
compounds, sandblasting, water and air.
If you are not familiar with them, you can request the brochure in digital or
paper version.

To
provide more details about the sustainable advantages of these hoses we
compiled some frequently asked questions (FAQs).
1. Is the content from natural sources of IVG
Planet+ hoses certified?
Yes, for each hose we declare the percentage value of carbon
from vegetable sources on the total carbon contained and we measure it
according to the ASTM D6866 test method. The innovation lies essentially in the
implementation of renewable content over fossil. For example, the Abr Aspen
51x68 mm hose, for plastering machines, has a carbon content from renewable
sources of 57% according to ASTM D6866.
2. Do IVG Planet+ hoses guarantee good performance?
IVG Planet+ hoses are reliable and safe. We believe that in the industrial
sector a product, even if sustainable, must guarantee the same performance
level as a traditional one.
3. Why did you also do a LCA for the Hot Gullfoss hose?
We wanted to identify the factors that have relevance on the environmental
impact in the hose production process that goes from the source of the raw
materials to the shipment. In order to do so, a comparative Life Cycle
Assessment was performed by the Center for Sustainability of the Cà Foscari
University of Venice.
Results show that the Hot Gullfoss hose is less impactful than the equivalent
traditional IVG hose which derives from a fossil source. An analysis that took
into consideration the cycle from cradle to gate.
4. How
do I recognize IVG Planet+ hoses?
The specific marking "IVG Planet+ Sustainable Advantages" clearly
identifies the hoses both in the warehouse and in the plants when installed.
Even the packaging takes into account environmental needs: we have a neutral-colored
biodegradable film available or we can ship the hoses without packaging, or in
recycled cardboard boxes.
5. Do you have specific process certifications for
sustainability?
Yes, in 2022 RINA certified the IVG process in accordance with the criteria of
the ISCC PLUS model with reference to the use of specific bio-attributed
materials.
A demanding and serious step towards customers and suppliers who believe in us
and in our project.
6. Who first used the new IVG Planet+ hoses?
Surely users who are attentive to environmental issues due to sensitivity or
because they are driven by mandatory regulations. Then those organizations
which, by presenting the Sustainability Report, benefit from the inclusion of
sustainable products in their processes. But also those who participate in
tenders that have among the rewarding requirements the use of sustainable
products. And also, those who sees a commercial advantage.
